Referral Partner
Independent referral opportunity · 10% commission
Know an organization that could benefit from a Level Up Labs product? Make the introduction. If it becomes a qualifying customer, we'll pay you.
The Referral Partner program is for technology professionals, consultants, partners, customers, former colleagues, and other industry professionals who occasionally encounter opportunities for our software but don't want a sales role.
There are no quotas, required prospecting activities, prescribed working hours, or expectation that you run the sales process. You create the qualified introduction. Level Up handles the sale.
What we sell
Level Up Labs builds first-party enterprise software, including:
- BacklogZero — agentic automation and DevOps software for Ansible environments.
- Factimonious Teams — software for evidence-driven AI code review, software management, and engineering governance.
- Pinionize Teams (planned)— repo-native coordination and orchestration for AI-assisted software development.
Additional first-party products may be added to the portfolio over time.
Typical referral activities
Referral Partners have a deliberately limited role. Typical activities may include:
- Recognize organizations or individuals who may have a plausible need for a Level Up Labs product.
- Identify potential product opportunities through existing professional relationships, industry activity, consulting work, or other legitimate business interactions.
- Provide prospective customers with accurate, high-level information about Level Up Labs and the relevant product.
- Confirm that a prospective customer understands the purpose of an introduction and has a genuine interest in speaking with Level Up.
- Make a direct introduction between the prospective customer and appropriate Level Up personnel.
- Provide reasonable background or context that may help Level Up understand the potential opportunity.
- Protect confidential or non-public information received from Level Up or prospective customers.
- Represent the nature of the Referral Partner relationship accurately and professionally.
- Avoid misleading, deceptive, unsolicited, or otherwise unlawful referral practices.
- Escalate questions about product capabilities, security, privacy, pricing, contracts, compliance, or implementation to Level Up rather than making unsupported representations.
- Perform any agreed referral activities using the Referral Partner's own methods, resources, and business judgment.
What you are not expected to do
- Maintain a sales pipeline or meet prospecting quotas.
- Conduct formal sales discovery, demos, or technical validation.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, manage procurement, or close transactions.
- Provide customer support or implementation services.
- Work prescribed hours or maintain a prescribed schedule.
Level Up handles the substantive sales process.
Compensation
- 10% of qualifying collected revenue from the initial product purchase, subject to a $300 minimum commission.
- No commission ceiling unless separately agreed.
- Referral commissions ordinarily apply only to the qualifying initial product purchase — not later expansion revenue.
Examples
- $1,500 initial sale → $300
- $3,000 initial sale → $300
- $7,500 initial sale → $750
- $15,000 initial sale → $1,500
- $50,000 initial sale → $5,000
- $100,000 initial sale → $10,000
Commissions are based on qualifying collected revenue under the applicable referral agreement and compensation plan. You get paid when Level Up gets paid.
A qualified referral is a material introduction to a prospective customer with a plausible need — not a list of company names or public contact information.
The company does not have to be new to Level Up. A genuinely new first-party product opportunity inside an existing customer relationship may qualify.
Register or communicate the prospective customer and product opportunity with Level Up before making the introduction when practical. Level Up resolves duplicate attribution in good faith based on who materially created the opportunity.
Want to do more?
Referral Partner is intentionally lightweight. For people interested in consistently creating qualified pipeline, Level Up also works with Independent Sellers, with a per-meeting engagement fee plus commissions.
Experienced enterprise sellers who want to materially own the full sales cycle can participate as Senior Independent Sellers, with higher commission rates.
You don't need to become a seller to make a valuable introduction. See a fit. Make the introduction. If it becomes business, participate in the value you helped create.
Independent referral relationship
Participation does not create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise, exclusive agency, or ongoing sales engagement.
Referral Partners participate independently and are responsible for their own taxes, expenses, insurance, licensing, and other obligations.
There is no required schedule, minimum number of referrals, assigned territory, or obligation to continue participating.
Each introduction is a discrete, standalone engagement. Participation at one time does not create an ongoing engagement, a renewal expectation, or any obligation of continued participation between introductions.
Referral Partners use their own business contacts, communication methods, and materials. Level Up does not provide a Level Up email address, business cards, systems access, or other Level Up branding.
Referral Partners may not bind Level Up, execute contracts, change pricing, guarantee functionality, make unsupported compliance claims, or commit roadmap dates.
The terms governing an eligible referral and payment are established by the applicable written referral agreement and compensation plan.
Equal opportunity and accessibility
We consider individuals for the referral program without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
Individuals who require a reasonable accommodation to participate may request one from Level Up Labs.
Why Level Up Labs
Level Up has spent years inside enterprise infrastructure, automation, cloud, and software engineering. We're now building our own software.
This program is for people who already see the problems our products solve — and can make a credible introduction when they do.
